“February 2018”
With theatmosphere of joy and celebrations, the Photographic Society of Oman, followedthe Sultan Qaboos Higher Center for Culture and Science organized Oman ForumInternational Photography that held from 3-7 February 2018. The Forum aims toenhance the artistic aspect and involves Omani photographers with adistinguished group of international photographers to show wonderful Oman in adifferent and distinct outlook.
The forum included a seriesof events that started on Saturday, 3rd February with the opening of the forum exhibition and welcoming theparticipants who had been (13) international photographers and (21) Omaniphotographers from the Photographic Society of Oman. The forum also included aseries of photographic trips to Muscat Governorate, Al Dakhilyah Governorate and South Batinah Governorate. During theperiod of the forum, four distinct exhibitions opened, such as theexhibition of the participants in the forum, the opening of Bahla PhotographyGroup, SQUARE 2017 International PhotographyContest and the Youth Contest. The meetingwas also interesting enriched with photographic sessions presented by theItalian photographer Riccardo Busi, president of the International Federationof Photographic Arts (FIAP), Turkish photographer Riha Blair, president of SaliSanta Sarai Turkish club, Emirati photographer Saeed Al Shamsi, president ofDar Ibn Al-Haytham for Visual Arts and administrator of International titles of the Global Photographic Union. (GPU) and Saudi photographer MohammedAl-Falih.
